There's nothing wrong with a little banter on the interwebs, of course, but your *ALPA MENTOR* should be your primary source for correct information and advice during probation, where (not to be dramatic, but....) your career kind of depends on it.
Except, ALPA MENTORS are like chief pilots and line pilots. They all have their perspectives. Look at the CP in SFO, he certainly has a different perspective than that of a pilot advocate. We have seen the different perspectives, of line pilots on APC too, regarding the commuter policy and "what it means/expectations".
Seeing a multitude of "perspectives" is more information, especially for a new hire on probation. More information might allow for a better decision
Forewarned is forarmed, especially when you are not protected by the PWA. Even if the "ALPA MENTOR" tells you just use "standard commuter policy" and you'll be OK, hopefully you have at least heard the vagaries that may be inherent in enforcement, depending on the enforcers perspective.
