there are a few issues with Delta buying the 777x.
It’s much larger than the aircraft it would replace. This size would mean we would/could only operate a small fleet probably less than 20. For that small fleet we would need MX training, pilot training, parts…….
Comparing that situation to adding the larger 350-1000, which is roughly 777-8 in size, Delta keeps commonality. This spreads out the cost of operating a smaller fleet of planes.
