the reason i started this thread is because the news came out that skywest was going to the faa for authorization to operate the erj-145. skywest didn't say why or for whom. i started the thread to see if anyone had any insight on what might be the reasons behind this move. most of the guesses have been that it has something to do with expressjet. i, personally, find that hard to believe because of timing, etc. i think that something else must be in the works by skywest. our management are always looking at many opportunities at once.
