Every base in that bid got at least 5 open slots so there was space to displace people to. Is your math accounting for attrition? I've heard it's "down", but that's just a verbal statement they told us at CQ, no real numbers. Also, is LA attrition the same as JFK? Not to mention it may be artificially down because OALs are calling less right now. #Boeing. CP has told us the flight hours are remaining the same. For now. CP also let us know they cancelled our new Crew Room. Meanwhile, let's fly out of Long Island. Stuff some more eggs in the basket. Invest in PR. Close PVR and fly out of a brand new unproven airport in the jungle already served by CUN.

West coast routes were making money. Absolutely. They did this because they think they can make more money by moving the planes elsewhere. And while it is their responsibility to make the balance sheets turn green, they're currently doing whatever they can do make it happen immediately, damn the strategic consequences. Maybe we don't know all of the details, I'll give them that. I appreciate management's increased communication and I understand they can only say so much... but it's difficult to watch from this side of the country, at least with the amount of information we've been given.
