WB right seat is the best QOL at this company, especially if you live in base. You’ll make 85% of the money of a NB CA and do 15% of the work with 5-6 more days off per month. That’s two months per year not at work.
I would put in a bid on the 787, then 777…. When it hits, you’ll never want to leave.
Hah yes I do have my bid in (I can literally see the UAL SFO hangar from my house), although the days of probies in WB seats are definitely over. So it'll be a while.
I do however have doubts about my ability to deal with the circadian rhythm changes or sleep in the bunks. Even when I go to Asia or Europe and have a Polaris seat, the jet lag hits me (especially coming back from Asia). If there was enough domestic flying on the WBs and junior guys could hold it, I'd bid that in a heartbeat...
