Sometimes there's an advantage to commuting from a large city vs living in base in SDF. Some of our trips begin and/or end with commercial flights, and those flights would sometimes be 2 legs to SDF instead of just 1 leg to your home. I have shaved days off of trips by taking a direct flight to my home airport (ATL) vs dealing with connections to SDF.
