It's when you accept a greenslip on a reserve day with less than the full 18 hour long call call out. It pays GS pay for the first day, then the rest goes towards reserve guarantee. No PB days if the trip doesn't interrupt X days. A decent way to make some extra money on a day you're probably going to have to fly on anyway.
What about a GS with >18 hours to report, but a report before 1000 on day 1 of LC?
Sure way to be suckered into flying for free?
