You and I and every single pilot started out in this career knowing its expiration date. Your personal failure to financially plan for said known date does not entitle you to steal planned career progression of every single pilot below you on the seniority list. You’ve known the last day of your career for your entire career. You might have even gotten 5 more years than you originally planned out of it. Not being ready to go as that day comes is your cross to bear, not those junior to you. Take some personal responsibility for your own failures for once and stop asking the rest of the pilot group to bail you out for poor financial decisions.
