Not directly answering your question, but one of the nice aspects of this job as it relates to my family life is although I am gone for a few days at a time and miss nights at home, I am fully present on my days off. It might sound attractive to do one of those jobs and spend more time at home on paper, but many of them will require more effort and commitment than just flying the line. Some jobs might require you to take phone calls or emails when you are supposedly off.

Plenty of opportunities for pilots outside of flying though if that's what you're interested in.
