I believe the verbiage is recommended to turn AT off when AP off. I believe verbiage also states AT must be off for landing. I think that's Delta specific per our FCTM not Boeing specific. I'll double check when I get to chance to look at the books
Not only does the FCTM allow AT on for landing, but it also talks about how it provides superior gust protection. No wind additive (beyond Vref+5) is required with the AT on.
