While the idea may have merit on some levels, it also has a PB day killing element to it that management would appreciate.
Which group of pilots is most likely to have already flown a long GS and be willing to accept another long GS? Reserve pilots.
When another long GS comes up later in the month, statistically that type of system will place more willing RES pilots to the back of the line than willing REG pilots.
I rarely bid reserve, but I’d rather see the GS leveling mechanism remain as is. PB days are advantageous to all pilots (directly or indirectly). We shouldn’t be inventing more ways for the company to attack them.
