My old airline started something similar to this a little after I left. Everything over 75 hours is 150% and everything over 85 hours is 200%. Here open time would be gobbled up instantly. It would be even easier premium but PB days would never exist again.
Something I would like to see is a way for a reserve pilot to be able to increase their pay if they choose. Right now the only way is to hope for a GS to or to race the company by yellow slipping to the guarantee then picking up even more. I’d like to see anything picked up on an X day to go above guarantee. Right now you just lose the X day.
They can fix all this…hiring more pilots and get us back to pre summer 2019 staffing levels. When I was on rsv as a new hire a barely flew. GS were almost non existen, WS were sucked off earlier in the month, YS were senior at least the first half until they go to Bucket 2.
Management wants their cake and eat it too.
