Without further information, I read that as Delta has stopped off the street hiring for civilians not flowing from Endeavor.
endeavor pilots are contractually entitled to 20 flows a month when DL is hiring. DL has chosen to usually put these pilots in the first class of the month. I’ve been told the demographics of the first class tend to be like this while the rest of the classes tend to have a more traditional background.
According to stats put out by flight ops, YTD 21% of new hires came from the military and 24% from DCI carriers. The rest are from various civilian backgrounds.
