We rooted out corruption before, and we can do it again if it comes down to it. We're not there, we need to just watch and support our fellow brothers and sisters that are currently donating their time under this new leadership. Which by the way IS providing them proper tools and training to do their jobs. Something we didn't have under AR.
You do realize that we left 1224 almost exclusively becuase the people running it (GU and Comp.) were using us as their personal piggy bank right? Are you seriously going to say in one breath that 1224 was bad and then in your next breath say that we should give THE SAME GUY a chance to "rebuild" our local? It's so painfully evident you haven't once read the IBT constitution. Do you know what happens at the conclusion of EMERGENCY trusteeship? If an election of officers isn't held, the local is dissolved and ALL FUNDS go into the IBT general fund. Go read it for yourself. If you think GU is here to save the day, you're in for a world of hurt.
We did root out corruption before, now we need to rid ourselves of it completely. The ineptness of the IBT is costing each pilot hundreds of thousands of dollars at this point. We finally have an oppritunity to move to real AIRLINE representation and y'all are letting GU scare you with complete BS. How hard is it to recognize that 2118 voting in ALPA is GU's worst nightmare. He will do anything to keep our money, he does not care the tiniest bit about a single pilot on a seniority list of an airline he isn't employed by.
I proudly support our brothers and sisters that volunteer with all the BS rhetoric that gets thrown around here. Imagine how strong of committees we would have if we weren't getting trained by truck drivers and regional pilots... have you ever wondered why not a single other major airline is represented by the IBT?
