Only thing I'd add is your money goes approximately 25-30% farther in Indiana (maybe less so in Floyd Cty specifically) than it would in east Jefferson, Oldham County. You'll actually be closer to downtown and Edgewood (in terms of time spent driving) than you would in most of the nice areas in Oldham County.

Take a look at the houses for sale and compare price per square foot and lot size. I've found the above percentages to hold in general.
