*Coverage must be positive unless you want to use an APD, IVD etc.

*It has to be a "banked" PB day. PB days earned earlier in the month are automatically placed on your next day on reserve, so you need the GS that earns PB day to be at a time in the month when you will not have enough on call days to absorb all your PB days. PB days that are not automatically place on your line go into your bank and are used at your discretion.

Some Pilots will try to "roll thunder" earning PB days all throughout the month starting at the beginning and others will strategically shoot for banked PB days. Which strategy you choose to pursue will determine how you bid because both of these bids would look very, very different.

This is a NB/WB disconnect. For NBs a PD can be placed in the middle of 3 or 5 days of reserve creating 2 nearly unusable RES day groups. You do need blue coverage. NBs save your PBs for better effect.
