I left my crappy regional as they were transitioning, and it was unanimous the shade thrown at them, and how it had to be their cost, compared to Jeppesen, as to why they were chosen. So, imagine my surprise reading here how people now see it as the superior product.
I suppose I'll be happy either way, having had to use those hideous NOA charts in my formative years!
When they were first introduced at Pinnacle, FOs carried Lido and Captains carried Jepps for about 6 months. It was amazing how many differences were found between the charts. Everyone immediately assumed Lidos had all errors, and were an inferior product. However it was later found that the errors were about 50/50. The more I used Lidos the more I liked how they displayed information (except the fold out STAR). When preparing for my Delta interview, I brushed up on my Jepp reading. It amazed me how foreign they seemed.
