Look closely at every airport and you'll see signs informing you that by stepping on airport property and entering the sterile area you consent to search of all belongings.
Yea.....OK bud whatever you say. Just like those signs that say "no guns allowed" at certain establishments where its not illegal to carry. The only legal force those signs carry is that you can be forced to leave the property if they see you carying anyway. One does NOT have the legal right to search my belongings without a warrant ONCE I'M PAST the screening checkpoint.
Sure.....just like in my firearm example they could (and certainly would) make me leave the airport sterile area, and I very well could face company dicipline for not being able to operate the flight, but tell me which law i would be charged with if I did that??
I'll wait....tell me.
The ONLY laws that are remotely applicable are circumventing or attempting to circumvent a screening checkpoint, or tresspassing, if I refused to leave....neither of which I'm talking about. Having your belongings searched at the checkpoint is certainly permitted of course.
