Well that does make perfect sense for a personal reason - being a commuter. I can't remember the last time I stayed in a hotel not provided by the company. And, knock wood, I'll retire that way. As a non-commuter, I'd rather not fund your personal convenience. And that's what that would amount to, in my opinion. We're both able to do our jobs comfortably without the points/credits, but you would be taking $ from my family to make your work experience better.

Some say commuting is a choice. I don't necessarily believe that at all times. What I do believe is that commuting is a benefit that comes with some sacrifices - spouses career, family, lower costs of living, etc. Don't ask me to sacrifice for your benefit.
