To me it’s a no brainer to buy these aircraft. Replace some 777-200s and backfill lost seats on the 787 delivery. We aren’t getting the 777X because we won’t order it and it will be a miracle when Boeing actually certifies it. We also aren’t getting the A350-1000 so to me this seems like the cheapest option. I bet AA is looking at them too…
The 777X will get certified…..
No US carrier will order the 777X until Boeing starts to discount the frame like they did to place end of the line 77Ws with United originally to bridge the 777 production gap to the 777X.
But I agree, I would be shocked if we didn’t jump on these birds.
