No US carrier will order the 777X until Boeing starts to discount the frame like they did to place end of the line 77Ws with United originally to bridge the 777 production gap to the 777X.
But I agree, I would be shocked if we didn’t jump on these birds.
I would assume with all the penalties Boeing owes United due to late 787 and MAX deliveries that a discount on the 777X would not be difficult to negotiate.
