I actually had a UA interview. Didn't go because I was just starting training at SWA (and our training is a meat grinder where you train for two months straight and have like two days off). Regardless, I won't commute long term and my wife and I just don't care for their bases at all. Delta's ATL or SLC, on the other hand, are quite enticing.
Commuting is [un-pins gernade, throws it down stairwell], suboptimal.
ATL: Peach Tree City. Just do it. You'll learn to love the golf cart lifestyle.
SLC: Holy moly, this place got expensive. Research "the inversion". It's a thing. Move outside it (which sadly means a longer drive). Otherwise, SLC rocks.
