And I'm not trying to force tribal changes on anyone.
Why I DID wear the lanyard was to show support for those LGBTQ that deal with that sh!it on a daily basis.
Have you have ever talked to a teenage boy after they atempted suicide becuase they came out as gay and lost their friends and had the bullying turned up to 11? Because I have and short of losing a friend to military combat, that conversation was the 2nd most heart wrenching thing I have experienced in my adult lifetime.
That kid is why I wear it....the FA's that have to fly with the super religious Capt I flew and listen to his snide remarks is why I wear it.....because I'm sure they are not the only one out their dealing with the same stuff....losing friends, losing family, sh!t comments every day....intrusive thoughts about being better of dead.....I'm letting all those people know I support them, even if they aren't willing to out themselves yet.
Sorry for thread drift....I'm not a ATL guy so I'll let those that are get back to taking who they are voting for.
Good for you!! The amount of anti-LGBTQ, anti-women and anti-black/minority, "things", I've heard pilots say at this airline is actually pretty shocking, even for Delta.
