I'm not at UA, I'm a captain at a ULCC. I'm super junior so I fly a lot with the newer, low time FOs and I notice their landings are often hard because they're not flaring enough and touching down too flat (this is in the A320). Often during the flare I'll say something like "lift the nose more", but it's usually too late and we pound it semi-hard (gigity). Some don't flare at all. Also they frequently totally disregard crosswind correction because they're too focused on the flare. So I see a few things out there. I was actually planning to start mentioning this beforehand when flying with new guys.
