it’s easy to laugh at the idea, but the reality is we have junior and senior pilots breaking airplanes. They have to try something.
I thought it was with FedEx? But either way it’s because the MD-11 is the least forgiving airplane to land so they and the FAA developed a landings class type thing. So I’d imagine they are using it as template due to their “expertise” Since it was technically “successful”. But if you can’t land an A320 idk what to tell you, I kid I kid. But we already have long briefings. This is going to just make them longer. At my last airline they did something like this. We had a separate briefing checklist for Night visual approaches.
