From the tapes, they sound like they were on masks and had definitely declared a while before landing. Lesson for us all might be to figure out how to communicate with the masks on, as it sounded like they had some issues. However, huge kudos to them for prioritizing flying over dealing with the radios and getting the plane on the ground safely and quickly...
