Can someone tell me the training timeline from beginning to end? Everything I'm seeing is for the cadet program. I have a November class date...just wondering what it looks like.
WTF! (Welcome to Frontier)

The exact timeline varies slightly, but generally is about 2-2.5 months in Denver at the training center + IOE and is as follows:

- Day 1 is Indoc. You'll get your company ID, iPad, and will sit through multiple orientation-type events. You'll go over benefits such as insurance and the like.
- Day 2 through the end of week 3 is ground school. You'll have two quizzes, but they pretty much gave us the answers the day before. It's not bad, just try to be a sponge.
- Somewhere in there you'll bid for your initial domicile assignment as well as your simulator schedule.

- The sim training is 6 FTDs, then your type oral, then 8 FFSs.
- Once you're signed off, you'll have your type ride. They won't send you unless you're prepared
- After you get your type, you'll have a pair of LOFTs. Don't be brain-dead and you're fine

- Then you wait for IOE. I waited for about 2.5 weeks from my Qual LOFT to my first trip. If it's out of base, the company will DH you there and back to your base. You can always deviate from the DH though.

It's a really solid time from start to finish. The training dept is solid and they all want to see you succeed. Vapor (ground instructor) is legit, and I was well prepared for my checkride. Feel free to PM with any other questions. Welcome aboard!
