Careful don't put any ideas in their heads because some might just fight to change it to seniority based because there are some that believe being junior should absolutely suck( the, " I went through it, so should you then")......
Look seniority should matter. Better schedules, vacation, etc. But being junior shouldn't have to suck either. Or at least a bone being tossed your way. An example would such as the extra pay above 10 hours of duty which a junior person probably isn't going to be able to avoid unless the seniors want to chase the money which then the junior gets the benefit of working shorter days. Or in case of holiday pay, juniors actually get the day off if they want as the seniors chase it.
I didn't have much sympathy for why we got TTS and TTOT died because the senior WB guys couldn't trade trips while crossing the Atlantic leaving the junior able to grab them..... IMHO, trip trading is one that should be first come first serve. The seniors in theory shouldn't need to do much trading because they are able to grab the trips they want through PBS.
