Unlike some pilots, I support my FAs. I value their contributions and their work towards our companies bottomline. Along with gate agents and CSRs who are customer facing, it's important to ensure that morale doesn't drop too low. They have a difficult job and they aren't well compensated for it. The need some QOL some improvement to their work rules based on how the company treats them as well... The things I've seen that they deal with sometimes is damn near criminal...
Hopefully most pilots understand this. All the podium PAs & thank you notes in the world are a drop in the bucket compared to the level of passenger interaction our FAs have on a slow day. Their role in the passenger experience cannot be overstated & there is no amount of singing & dancing we could do to overcome the damage of a disgruntled FA labor group. The company needs to finish this yesterday or we’re all going to feel the backlash.
