The FAs are their own worst enemy. We had an hour bus ride to the airport the other day, dozen or so FAs. We (pilots) asked them what it is they’re looking for in a contract and it was like rolling a grenade into a room. They went at EACH OTHER for the rest of the bus ride. For a solid hour they all told each other why what they wanted was the most important and why what everyone else wants is dumb. They are so fractured, I have no idea how you’re supposed to negotiate for a group who can’t even agree amongst themselves.

Based on what I’ve seen, and talking to FAs, 49% of them won’t be happy. It looks like a huge lift for even the AFA to get them to 51%.
