In the grand scheme of life this a pretty good gig right now. There are other gigs which are objectively better, at least marginally better. If for no other reason than retirements.
More so if you're young. But if you're young here, WB CA is in the cards. I met a SEA 737 CA who was maybe 28-29 a few years ago, people like him should be in great shape.
Considering history and trends this century I think the only airlines which I'd say should be predictably and consistently better over a long career than AS would be DL and UA in that order. AS is now ballpark legacy pay and rules plus widebodies for the younger folks.
Would I give up one year AS seniority for DL right now? Yup. Five years? Most likely not, unless I was well under 40. All else equal with domicile geography.
