I doubt Delta still does it this way but when they first got the huds they had some strange rules. You could handfly the aircraft for an approach above 4000 RVR. You were required to couple the approach from 4000 down to 1200 RVR. Below 1200 RVR you were required to handfly the approach! Go figure!
