It’s just that majors no longer operate DC9s/737-200s/etc. Delta is the only exception with the 717 and now the A220.
United has 121 A319/B737s with 126 seats. Delta is replacing their 88 110-seat 717s with 100 A220-300s with 130 seats. The 45 Delta A220-100s have 109 seats and they have 57 A319s with 132 seats.
