That's just it. The A220 is not an RJ. It's list price is 62%+ higher than an E175. DAL has 45 A220-100s with 109 seats and 3,600 nm range, but it is now opting for 100 A220-300's with 130 seats and 3,400 nm range to replace the 717s. DAL and UAL are adding seats on mainliners and have parked tons of single class small RJs. More basic economy and market segmentation that is pulling passengers from the LCCs and P2P carriers.
