The regional model is no friend of pilots. I was there when the whipsawing was driving pilot wages down to 12,000 a year. While scope restrictions might not be good for SkyWest or United profits, it is collectively better for pilots as a whole to have more mainline jobs. If you can’t see this, then I wish you all the best at your career at SkyWest, but please stay there and don’t apply for mainline jobs.
