More than that, UA won’t touch you until the next wave.
Not disagreeing with the sentiment but moving the goalpost mid course after accepting them into the program is a bit of dick move. Good lesson on how Core-4 doesn't really apply to employees in the United system. Too many people buy into the hype of Aviate thinking its rainbows lollipops and a United 777 CA seat at the end of the road.
If someone is looking for a regional pathway to a legacy their best bet is to go to an AA Wholly Owned regional, or Endeavor. Those flows are contractually protected agreements between the union and the companies and pilots on property are grandfathered in when anything changes. United is more keen on taking those pilots anyways and if United or the other competitor diesn't call they still get to go to brand X.
I've rarely recommended anyone go to Skywest except in niche circumstances where Skywest has a base where they live. I've never recommended anyone go through Aviate or a United endorsed pathway program as a way to get to United.
