Both airlines parked airplanes before legacy United was merged into. Legacy Continental parked all of its 737-300/500s. They each had similar fleet sizes(a difference of around 10 airframes) although, at the time of the merge, legacy United had more widebodies. Unfortunately all of the 747s were gone by 2017 and quite a few 757s too.
The 737-500s were still flying after the merger. They were eventually sold to a Russian carrier and were gone by 2014.
