the problem is, when a guy relies so heavily on the employees to “go the extra mile” and juice up his NPS, he probably should work a little harder to develop some internal goodwill rather than squeezing wherever he can.

the problem with bean counters is that they don’t have a spreadsheet calculation for the benefits of employee goodwill…so they don’t want to accept an associated cost to nurture it.

it also doesn’t help when people sign up to be unpaid volunteers for job that should be paid.

I suspect the union just shakes their heads sadly and throws up their arms at the many things pilots do to undercut themselves.
