Hardly. They took the job that you were perfectly eligible to apply for, but that you did not do. Said job had very defined work rules and compensation. Asking them to accept less pay for working the same amount to appease you is just dumb. Trying to change their work rules after they already accepted the job with the work rules defined is both petty and ridiculous. If this was such a problem it should have been addressed when we were in 4A2b last time around, but it wasn't because most people understand that changing the work rules you agreed to work under is a douche move. I've served on several committees as a volunteer and been a committee chair before, so my screen name is just fine. That I don't buy in to your "From each according to his means, to each according to his needs" philosophy doesn't make me wrong or a bad guy.
