Back to the original topic - take as much time as you want to report while on short call. It's not defined anywhere except in your conscience.
So let's say we have the same scenario (1400 SC with CS placing a 1430 report) except you did not check your schedule ahead of time, as you have no obligation to do so. You get the call at 1401, are you going to rush like crazy to make the 1430 sign-in? Would you feel like you're lying to CS if you said 'I'll be there in around 2 hours'?

Or let's say you specifically bid for a 1400 SC, and knowing you have no obligation to the company until 1400 you can pick up your kid from school at 1300 (it's early dismissal or something). Instead, during a time that you have NO OBLIGATION to check your schedule you see that 1430 trip. You know it takes you roughly 2 hours to get to the airport so you cancel picking up your kid at 1300 and leave the house at 1230 so you can make it 'on time'.

THAT is what we are talking about. Do not set that precedent. It's not about "getting back at someone" it's about following the PWA and not undercutting yourself and your fellow pilots.

And it's not a "perceived slight" if CS asks you to report in 30 mins from a SC, it's straight out of the SRH that the Co is making a business decision. Treat it as such.
