At some future date, let's say F9 finds a way to acquire NK via some extreme discount and a SLI is necessary. According to ALPA, those on property at both airlines get integrated via the current relative seniority rules (the zipper effect). There will be some that are disgruntled about that but not much will be lost/gained in the process. That SLI will leave everyone equally ****ed off.
Immediately following, all the furloughed get stapled and those 5, 6 and 7 year furloughees will be junior to F9 guys who have way less time on property (guys who F9 hasn't even hired as of the time of this post).
Those MORE JUNIOR F9ers will upgrade and potentially fly w/ the furloughees. This is EXACTLY what happened with UA/Cont SLI.
Did I miss something?
Nope, unless you misunderstood my comment, I wasn’t responding to you. I was agreeing with you, I was responding to somebody else.
