It uses this piece of information to seed a small kernel of empathy for Russia. As if Russia is somehow justified in invading Ukraine. This justification then leads into they might potentially use nuclear weapons in fear of their continued existence. Hence, forcing the western world to hunker down, be fearful for its life and appease the giant monster that is known as the Russian Empire. Where does it end? After Georgia? After Moldova? After every other state gets consumed that borders the Russian Federation over the next hundred years that isn’t part of some giant alliance?
