Respectfully, I don’t think you are grasping the issue. It’s also been explained several times that using NC allows you to be exempt from the first 2 hours of SC, AND that simply checking your schedule via iCrew puts you back in a normal contactable status where they must call you, and leaving you plenty of time to drive to work.

literally the only downside for a local is that you have to bother to 1. Call CS at original SC assignment notification time, and 2. check your schedule in iCrew 1 minute into your SC. Bottom sentence of the SRH page 80, and top sentence of page 81.

why would you not do this every SC as a local? What do you think the disadvantage is?
