If you select DROP ALL and bid trips that just barely touch the beginning and end of your vacation, one week will blow a 3 week wide hole in your schedule. If you got a line with 3 four day trips, you are left with 1 four day trip remaining for the month.

Then you can give it away, trade down, break it up into smaller trips and give away, ELITT down, etc. It's a bit of work, but you can make those remaining four days go away and then you have the entire month off.

Your pay will be the 26.25 for the vacation plus part of but not all of the dropped trips. So you are basically going for maximum days off and willing to drop pay below min to get it.
