Now that we’re the encouraging words, now the hammer;
So I’m assuming you’re an FO? On a jet?
What does getting away from the gate mean?
How do you exceed a limitation or operate contrary to company procedures or regs when pushing back?
Speed on a SID..yeah that’s a clean kill, that’s an item that you should have briefed, checked in the FMC that it showed a speed restraint yadayadayada.
Retrained, second time, nerves acting up, second guessing everything you do, yeah we’ve all been there.
Did the autopilot legit fail? As in whoop-whoop autopilot with a master caution?
Or did the check airman ‘soft’ fail the autopilot and you didn’t feel it disconnecting? That would be very questionable behavior.
In excess of 300’ from an assigned altitude is an automatic ATC altitude violation, I doubt the check airman let that happen.
So color me confused a little bit.
Was this on an arrival or approach? Were you at 8100 iso 8500 or at 400’ heading for the weeds?
400’ off your altitude when you’re high in the flight levels is a different story then when your GPWS is shouting Pull up Pull up.
It reads initially like you got in a little bit over your head but it also has a bit off a ring to it like you got dropped into the deep end.
I am now sufficiently damaged by experience but it did take some time and pain getting where I am so no , not all is lost.
