I'm in talks with an ANG unit and they're saying that if I Palace Front with them, there's a 4 year service commitment to the ANG upon signing. I was under the impression that going the Palace Front route over Palace Chase would not have a commitment. Additionally, I am current and qualified on the aircraft that I would be flying with the ANG so I won't have to attend any training courses or receive additional training. Does anyone know of any guidance the ANG uses to determine how much time you owe them upon signing or does this vary widely from unit to unit? I've been looking for a reference and have found the ANGI36-2101 but it only addresses commitments connected with training. Needless to say I'm confused and wanting to make sure what I'm being told is typical. Thanks!
