Yea, like people are saying depends on the examiner. Mine was alot like a big IFR flight scenario. Started with IFR flight planning and regulations, then a lost com scenario using an enroute chart, while we were talking about different options he asked about some symbology on the chart, then asked well if this is the MEA here how much terrain clearance do you have? Will your radios work? Then went into some approach plates at the "hypothetical" diversion point. One thing I learned that he pointed out. He gave me the lost com scenario and and so you tell him Im going to fly the last assigned route and altitude blah blah blah and then he says well, your picking up some ice and the weather is really deteriorating, why would you pass up this perfectly good airport to continue to the first intended destination, the answer he was looking for is, "I wouldnt" pull the in the event of an emergency the PIC can do as what he needs to do to cope trick. This just shows judgement vs just memorizing some regulations. Good luck
