High Time Flyer here at SW. Denver Captain with about 10 years in the left seat and 5 weeks vacation. Not sure on the final numbers but block for the year will probably come in somewhere around 950 and of W2 of about 1.1 million. 219k of that was the Retro Bonus. Definitely worked harder this year than years in the past although I have been "playing the game" since I was a senior F/O in BWI back in 2012. It's crazy but it is not about the money...its about the game....which I love. Ironically I'm sure I am not the highest paid at this airline. I know personally a lot of guys who are smarter and work harder than I do.
I had no idea this was even possible. Nicely done. I play the minimum work game an my carrier but am impressed with this maximum pay strategy. I would not survive but recognize great game play. Cheers to you.
