ASA and Comair tried that merger and it didn't work. What makes you think Skywest pilots want to add ATL to their base list? Management doesn't want a merger either.

I guess IAH is a better option for SkyWest management. It is CAL's flying after all.

There is not much pilots can do about it either way. The wheel is already in motion. SAD but true.
