To cover your flight review, get an instructor to sign one off in your logbook. Otherwise, get with a CFI and get a flight review.

For years, I'd do one each year with a friend. He was a CFI, I was a CFI, and while I had plenty of other means of maintaining proficiency, we'd jump in a Cessna 180 and I'd go do his flight review, and we'd swap seats, and he'd do mine.

If you're renting, most rental places won't know what to make of your airline paperwork anyway. Get an endorsement for a flight review in your logbook, and keep a logbok...not just the airline records. The local flight school doesn't speak AQP, or 121 for that matter.
